Oh my gosh, what an adorable couple… Bill and Sophie met me out at Letchworth State Park for their Engagement shoot today and we had a blast. I’m so excited for their Wedding coming up in a few weeks at my favorite place, the Sweet Briar Inn & Spa out in Geneseo. I got married there myself ~ picture perfect! They live out that way too so it made sense to take their pictures in that area and I’m so glad they chose Letchworth. If anyone reading this that lives in Western NY who hasn’t heard of, or hasn’t been there … you must make plans to go! It’s ‘the Grand Canyon of the East’ and you will quickly see why. My personal favorite time to go is at the end of Fall … you wouldn’t even believe the foliage. There aren’t any Falls pictures from our session today because they were more focused on the over look areas but if you’re heading out there for the first time…it’s worth the drive to see them! Ok, enough about the park ~ back to Bill and Sophie … who made the park that much more spectacular because their love was in the air … awwww. ♥
Thanks for spending your afternoon with me guys ~ I am so excited to photograph your Wedding day!! Just a few more weeks!
Here’s a few of my favorites and I’ll have the rest up within a week…Enjoy!
As soon as I got to Katie’s home, I was greeted by their family dog Daisy ~ SO friendly and cute! They let her outside so she wouldn’t get too excited while the girls were getting ready but she kept popping up outside the window to see what was going on … adorable.
Katie was already in her gown when I went up to see her and when I peeked in her mom was helping her to get her jewelry on …she was truly breathtaking. Her dress was very sparkly and romantic and she beaming from ear to ear.
They let Daisy back in once everyone was ready to go so she could visit.
We took some quick photos in the backyard of Katie, her girls, and her mom and then it was off to the church! Luke had his groomsmen all around him I could tell he was really excited and anxious to see Katie.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.!
I love receiving lines… the expressions on the guests faces when they finally make their way up to the bride and groom are priceless….so genuinely happy and excited for the newlyweds.
Katie’s flowers were so pretty …classic bride
It started to drizzle just a smidge, but we didn’t let it get in our way …umbrellas to the rescue…and they make for cute pictures too I think.
After the church formals, we headed over to Casa Larga Vineyards, and somehow never got caught in the rain…we were really really lucky. The vineyards were a beautiful setting for our pictures, and they had a great time. Champagne and appetizers came out and the bridal party caught their second wind.
I love that Katie dipped Luke…classic.
mistletoe grapes!
Casa Larga always does an amazing job setting up their reception room…and the windows make for a beautiful backdrop.
cocktail hour mingling on the deck
Announcements, and their first dance with everyone gathered around them
Toasts
The Best Man made a card for every role that Luke played followed by a story, ending on Husband…it was a great speech.
They played the ‘pass the dollar’ game, and things got a little c.r.a.z.y.!
Took a few more pictures during dinner…such a romantic place.
Cake!
Bouquet toss!
Lots and Lots of dancing…party girls!
Congratulations Katie & Luke ~ your Wedding was beautiful and so much fun!

Wow, what an incredibly beautiful day for a Wedding! Everything took place at the amazing Bristol Harbour resort overlooking Canandaigua Lake. Sunny skies, puffy clouds, love, and laughter were the theme for the day. As you walk in the doors of the resort, you are greeted by glowing pine, and brilliant birch…and all the Adirondack touches you can imagine.
Erin’s room felt like a log cabin with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. Her bedspread even had a pine cone design all over it! Watching the bride get ready is my favorite part of a Wedding …it’s so exciting and full of emotion…especially if the mother of the bride is there and she was! Her mom was stunning and on the verge of tears the entire time. So cute.
I love that there is a brand actually called ‘my wedding shoe’ – so neat, and of all the shoes I’ve photographed, I’ve never seen that…they matched her dress perfectly too. yay shoes.
The guys were hanging out at the ceremony location greeting guests. Everyone was so handsome…I loved the color theme, hot pink and lime green.
The flowers adorning the ceremony aisle were incredible…everything was done by Sasafrass and I highly highly recommend them…impeccable!
The ceremony was short and sweet with two beautiful readings. I still can’t believe I get to witness and creatively capture so much love between couples almost every weekend…I’m in heaven!
The cocktail hour began and formals shortly after. What a beautiful view with the lake behind them as a backdrop.
One of the brides maid of honors was a guy ~ he was adorable and gave an amazing speech for her. I noticed his shoes at one point and hello?! We had to get a shoe shot…his shoe with all the girls …I love it!
We went out to the green on the other side of the lodge for some golf shots for fun too!
Once the introductions were made, and the (very funny) toasts were given, dinner was served and soon afterward it was time to party! They had a live band play for the entire night and they were the one of the most amazing band I have ever seen here in the Rochester area. The theme was swing…like Go daddy O type stuff and these people could DANCE! I have never seen so much professional looking dancing …and they barely took any breaks…song after song the guests were out there jumping around and living it up! The band was Nik Entertainment Co. and I would recommend them over and over and over. This particular group was ‘The Rochester Rat Pack’ ~ so fun!
Their first dance was ‘what a wonderful world’ and the lead singer sang it just like Louis Armstrong…that same raspy voice…so fun!
yay, I love tuxedo strawberries!!
Their theme was bicycles…they are always biking together ~ isn’t this cake amazing? She found the adorable topper online, and I love how the baker made it look like they’re biking down a path … so fun!
The ring bearer gave a flower to the flower girl…there’s nothing more heart warming than kids being sweet.
We had a beautiful sunset over the lake, and were able to see fireworks across the way. We were supposed to have sparklers at the Wedding, but unfortunately they found out last minute that not only are they illegal, but they are not allowed on the premises…but that’s ok, there were more than enough ’sparks’ flying around with all the love in the air.
Charlies Angels!
beautiful bride
Rings!
There was a full moon while we watched the tiny fireworks over the lake… we were supposed to have our own fireworks which didn’t work out, then we were supposed to have sparklers, which didn’t work out either … but that’s ok, there were undeniable sparks of love all around us and a dance floor that wouldn’t quit!
Here’s a fun video to re-cap the day too! Congratulations Erin and Brent ~ what an incredible Wedding day!!
