Now this was the ‘Wedding Weekend!”  :)   What a gorgeous day, evening, and celebration for Ethan and Megan’s Wedding.  The Daisy Flour Mill was a beautiful setting for a perfect summer ceremony and reception.

I first met up with Megan and the girls at her parents house…everyone was hanging out starting to think about getting ready…nice and casual.  Megan’s hair was done up and she had such a big smile as she started to get excited about putting the dress on.  When we went upstairs to a bedroom to see it, it was breath taking.  The bedroom had rafters in the ceiling where the dress hung from and it was just stunning how the light shined in the window right onto the gown.  All the girls started to get into their little black cocktail dresses…with HOT PINK shoes!  Awesome. :)   Megan wore them too!  Toasts were made with champagne, the rings were located and tucked safely away, all surrounded by laughter and friendship.  I am so lucky to be included into so many special times such as this …I don’t ever take it for granted and genuinely love making these beautiful memories for my brides.  It’s such an amazing day! :)

Megan’s dress was a masterpiece … lots of layers, and an intricate top that truly complimented Megan’s beaming smile as she put it on.  Everyone gushed, and helped before heading down to the yard.  Since this was the house she grew up in, we got family pictures outside on the lawn … I loved their house…it was blue and cottage like.  If you don’t know by now, blue is my favorite color and I hope to have a blue house one day too :)   Anyways…I love her family..they all were so sweet!

Once we were done with the photos, I headed over to the ceremony site at the Daisy Flour Mill and found Ethan hanging out with his groomsmen.  They were all so handsome and happy!  They had a beautiful evening Wedding outside overlooking a clearing with a stream…nicely shaded too!  One thing they did that I’ve never seen before…they had a really cute table out with lots of iced bottled water, and lemonade with cups for their guests to enjoy while they were waiting.  So thoughtful!

Megan was walked down the aisle by both her father and her mother…huge smiles all around; including Ethan as they made their way to greet him.  Candles were lit, readings were made, and soon the new Mr. & Mrs. were announced!   They had a receiving line which even though it takes time, I love the pictures that come from them.  We headed into formals during the cocktail hour, and then it was time for the bustle.  Normally, it’s not a big deal … a tie here and there and you’re done.  NOT this dress :)   It even came with instructions!  It was quite the production, but they had fun figuring it out.  Announcements were made, the first dance was fast and rehearsed…they did awesome!

The rest of the night was purely dancing…lots and lots of dancing!  Megan changed her Wedding dress to a smaller white cocktail dress later in the evening too…with pink flip flops!  A perfect ending to their ‘Wedding Weekend’ !  (The 3 day  weekends are perfect for Weddings because you can thoroughly celebrate all weekend long with your guests, and they DID!)

Everyone had so much fun and the bride and groom shined throughout the festivities.  Congratulations Megan & Ethan!

Another AMAZING afternoon for a Wedding celebration…sun filled skies, just the right temperature, and the garden scape at the Woodcliff was as beautiful as ever!  I had heard about the different themed suites they have, but I wasn’t expecting it to be as elaborate as it was…wow!  I got up to Stephanie’s room to photograph her getting ready with her girls, and as soon as you walked in, you could feel the happiness as we were surrounded by Western art and decor …really neat!  Stephanie was wearing  a robe with ‘Bride’ spelled out in rhinestones as she helped her girls get ready.  I love the time I get to share with my brides before the ceremony.  It’s such a special experience and it’s so endearing.  :)

Her dress was spectacular … very modern and the most unique gown I have seen yet.  She was absolutely stunning.  The whole Wedding party was beautifully dressed, but casual at the same time … a great combination.   Once all the girls were ready, we headed down to the lobby where Stephanie and Kevin were to see each other for the first time before the ceremony.

She didn’t want it to be exaggerated and dramatic…just simple…and it was.  Once they greeted each other, we all headed out to the cliff for formals before the Wedding.  It’s nice to do this because the family and bridal party can go right to the cocktail hour after the ceremony and start celebrating while the bride and groom share their time alone for a little bit while we take pictures.

The ceremony was so beautiful… it was in the evening so the sun was starting to set.    Kevin was adorably emotional as Stephanie walked down the aisle…she truly took his breath away. :)    The Woodcliff has added some wonderful backdrops in addition to their beautiful cliff … there’s a fountain, gazebo, and pond area that gave us some great photo opportunities.   They were so adorable together … so in love …

The reception was a LOT of fun … funny toasts, and lots and lots of dancing.

Congratulations to you both!  I’m so happy for you Stephanie & Kevin!  Have fun together! :)
