Exceptional Testimonial

October 15, 2009

I am SO blessed to be a Wedding photographer.  For years and years I struggled with feeling unappreciated for all the hard work I did throughout my career…or maybe getting a random ‘thanks’ here and there (as many of us do) …but it was never ANYTHING like the gratitude of thanks I receive from the couples I photograph.  I have a testimonials link on my website, but before I add this to it, I want to post it here for you to read.  Stephanie and Kevin – THANK YOU for taking the time to write such an amazing testimonial of my work and personality.  I love that you pointed out that you could tell how much I love being a part of my Weddings…that I genuinely feel the special bond between my couples and their guests.  I absolutely love what I do and I can’t thank you enough for putting to words how much you appreciated having me with you during your celebration.

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and love as you begin your marriage together ~ Congratulations again!

“We searched for months to find a photographer that was just the right fit for us. It was a little stressful because there are such a huge number of local Rochester photographers. But, when I stumbled across Sue’s site, and then the first time I spoke with her, I knew that her spontaneous, fun photography style and her warm, bubbly personality would be the perfect addition to our wedding. Her portfolio of photos online give you an idea of how talented she is, but you don’t quite realize how much she loves her work and how awesome a photographer she is until she is standing there with you smiling and seeming to genuinely enjoy the special moments right along with you and your family and friends. Sue works so incredibly hard to get all the right shots – the ones that you don’t even think about until you see the gallery of pictures and are so grateful she was there to capture the moments. Sue listened so carefully to what we wanted and what types of images were important to us. She is so dedicated to her clients and made sure to put up a sampling of photos on her blog within days of the wedding. Our guests loved that! We could not have imagined a more impressive collection of pictures capturing all of the small little moments that flew right by us that night. We are so thrilled to have all of these wonderful images to help us remember our special day! Thanks Sue!! You’re the best

Stephanie & Kevin”

I absolutely LOVE Fall Weddings! Stephanie and Brian had a perfect afternoon for their celebration. I’ll admit, it was a little bit on the chilly side … but personally, I think it’s invigorating :)

Stephanie got ready at a relatives home out in Rush, and it was SO cute! It was completely remodeled on the inside, and I admired all the work they put into it. It was a beautiful backdrop for our photos. I love all the hustle and bustle as everyone’s running around getting ready. Last minute hairspray, curling irons, and lipstick touch ups. It’s such a fun time. Ok, maybe it’s more fun for ME because I’m not panicking :)

After getting all our shots, we headed to a park to meet up with the guys and family for formals before the ceremony. Once the boutonnieres were pinned on, we were ready to go! I don’t have a preference either way for formals, but it’s nice to do them before hand because it leaves more time for a receiving line, and for the bride and groom to attend their cocktail hour too which is exactly what Stephanie and Brian did.

The ceremony was outside under a beautiful wooden arbor decorated with mums and pumpkins! Everything took place at the Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, NY and they did an amazing job!

We had a perfect sunny blue sky above us for the entire celebration…a beautiful day! The guests started to arrive, and shortly after the ceremony began. The wind blew beautifully through Stephanie’s veil, and the sun sparkled on its’ crystals. I absolutely loved the sermon … believe it or not, I really do listen to them as I’m shooting. Witnessing a Wedding is so sacred and special … I absolutely love being a part of them in capturing the memories they will treasure for their lifetime together.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone pretty much hurried inside to get warm.
:)
The receiving line began, and along with it, cocktail hour.  Everyone started to relax and have a good time.  Stephanie and Brian danced their first dance together as husband and wife, followed by a toast from the best man…and then dinner was served ~ wow!  Everyone was raving about the Italian buffet.  The Chicken Parmesan was a hit!  The guests tore up the dance floor and partied on into the night.  The cake cutting went better than I expected … I truly thought Brian was going to smash it into Stephanie’s face … he behaved.  ;)

Thank you Stephanie and Brian for choosing me to photograph your celebration ~ I had a great time, and am excited to share the whole Wedding with you soon!

Please check back in a few weeks ~ once the Wedding is completed and online, go to my website and click on ‘Ordering Gallery’ / The password will be the couples new last name.

Enjoy!

Renee and Brandon were in town for a family Wedding; visiting from Boston Massachusetts which gave us the perfect opportunity to photograph their Engagement session for their own upcoming Wedding next July. We couldn’t have asked for a better morning with the weather; perfection! When I met with Renee and her sister for their consultation, I was instantly drawn to her sweet smile and excitement for their Wedding day. I hadn’t met Brandon yet, and when I did, I could immediately feel the affection between them. Highland Park gave us so many settings and backdrops and the best part is that our sessions give the couple alone time together to just enjoy each others company. I’m not big on posing because I have an eye and a sense for the natural chemistry between a couple. I definitely give direction here and there to help the image, but for the most part, I’m simply capturing what’s already there…love.

Congratulations Renee & Brandon! I was so happy to spend this special time with you and truly look forward to capturing all the treasured moments of your celebration!
