As many of you know, I am the Programs Chair (Vice President) for the Greater Rochester Professional Photographers. Every month for this year I’ve planned our meetings; typically inviting speakers for presentations, but this time, I took them on a wine tasting photographic field trip! After all, we live in the Finger Lakes, it’s Autumn, there are vineyards everywhere, and we’re photographers. Hands on learning, experimentation, and visiting with each other while sharing tips, and tricks. We’re so lucky to have each other as both professionals and friends and that we all want each other to succeed and do our very best jobs for the wonderful people who choose us individually.
For the most part, especially now that I have a baby girl, I rarely get out and about because I’m so busy working, or tending to her. I was so happy to be outside on this trip more than anything…just feeling the sun on my face, and the warm breeze. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. I also don’t get the chance very often to photograph landscapes so that was my focus for most of the day. Here are a few that remind me of how much beauty is in our world ~ and how much it reminds me why Autumn is my favorite time of year.
Please go visit our lakes when you can ~ we’re so lucky to live here! This particular trip was taken on the West side of beautiful and wonderfully scenic, Keuka Lake. Thank you to all the wineries ~ each one was amazing and unique and we’re so excited to share our images with them!
Enjoy!
