Over the past 12 months, 365 days, 8,760 hours…no matter what emotion I went through as we brought our beautiful baby girl into this world, and as we watched her learn and grow…I will always remember the pure happiness and joy I felt and continue to feel every single morning that I get to see her all over again for the rest of that day. Every single day with our baby girl is the happiest day of my life. ♥
I remember all throughout my 20′s being determined to not think of the possibility of raising a child. I was 100% sure that I would only do the baby emotional distress, that I wouldn’t be a good mom, that it just wasn’t for me, and that my possible baby would definitely be better off not having known me or this world.
Something changed as I entered into my 30′s. I gained more confidence, and I started to think that maybe I did have something special to offer. Plus, my husband is the sweetest, most kindest man and I knew that he would guide us through…and he has. I love watching him and seeing the kind of dad he’s been and imagine him to be as she grows.
So ~ thank goodness we first made the decision to try, and then to be blessed with the most beautiful, and precious gift imaginable – we celebrate our baby’s first year of life, first walking, and first sugar!
Happy First Birthday Kayla Rose! ♥

I was so thankful to have some help with all the pictures! I almost convinced myself that I could take them all…but the more I imagined the day, the more I knew that I would miss out on visiting, hostessing, and spending that time with my baby on her very important day! So here I am taking one of maybe 50 pictures that I was able to take that day…none of which had myself and her in them together. Moms! Get someone to take your picture! It IS important and you NEED to be in them. I LOVE to photograph family events…just relax, enjoy your party and I’ll capture all the smiles for you.

Here’s our dog Buddy licking Kayla’s sweet and tasty fingers…mmmm frosting!

Wow, she did pretty good on her cupcake cake!

A very special thanks to my friend Danielle Zielinski for helping me with pictures! Our party was beautifully captured and Kayla will be able to look back at her mom and dad one day and see us celebrating her special day together
And now that she’s walking ~ imagine the next year of photos I can share with you! Thanks for being here with me ~ I love sharing my life through pictures.
Have a great day!
