Springtime doesn’t just bring flowers in bloom…it brings romance in the air!  And boy was the Spring breeze filled with love during this session!  What a treat to spend the afternoon with Katie and Drew.  I was so happy to meet them; finally in person.  It’s SO special and appreciated to be recommended to couples by past couples.  So when it happened again in this case, not only was it through another couple, but an out of state couple.  This meant that I needed to meet with the parents of the couple which was a lot of fun!  I remembered them from the first Wedding and was so excited to be welcomed back into the lives of these amazing families.  Thank You and I can not wait to celebrate Katie and Drew’s big day this Summer ~ see you soon! :)

I am SO glad I made the decision a few years back to join a professional photographers association.  I have learned so much over the years, and have met amazing and talented people through being involved in the group.  As you may already know, I am the President of the Greater Rochester Professional Photographers this year, and have been looking forward to the Photo North East convention for months.  It’s organized through the Professional Photographers Society of New York State and this years selection of speakers were some of the best around.

Some of the classes I attended (for broadening my knowledge of production, procedures, skill, technique, and business practices) were:

A Lightroom Workshop with Tim and Chris Riley, HDSLR Cinema with Alex Buono, (Photographer for SNL!), Law School for Photographers with Craig Heidemann, Shoestring TTL with Jason Groupp, High Fashion meets Wedding with Doug Gordon, and a business class for profit with Jared Bauman.  6 Amazing classes spread throughout the weekend mixed in with a Trade Show complete with incredible vendors; many of which I’m very excited to start working with, and complete with a party…not just any party, a TOGA party.

Every time I come home from one of these types of conferences, I’m overwhelmed with excitement and am eager to start implementing all that I’ve learned.

For starters, I cleaned off my desk as soon as I got home.  I just felt like I couldn’t do anything because all I could see was my messy desk.  Now that it’s clear again, so is my mind and I’m raring to go!

Stay tuned and thanks for being here with me!
