How exciting! Saturday’s Wedding took me to a new location in Holley, NY where there was a HUGE secret waterfall! It was so powerful and we could feel the wind and mist coming off it which was SO refreshing ~ these guys were troopers smiling through the humidity!

I remember when I first saw the Waterfall in view as I came down the hill … ‘May This Be Love’ popped into my mind and I was humming it to myself as we did our portraits.

So…back to the Wedding, ahem!
When I first arrived at the church and went looking for Karrie…my excitement started to build up for seeing her. Just as I thought….as I turned the corner to her room…there she was; beaming with a beautiful happy smile!

All her girls were so sweet watching her get into her dress and veil

We took a few group shots of all the girls, and the moms, and then I headed out to the main part of the church to find the Groom…where he was hanging out with his Best Man, navigating the seas as Captain Jason - (There were a few props in the room and we couldn’t help but to play with them.)

Best Man

Shortly after photographing the guys, the ceremony was about to begin…so much excitement! I quickly set up and was so happy to see my friend and videographer, Al King of Days Remembered Video. I love working with him!
Karrie had her brother walk her down the aisle…and much to my surprise, I knew him! We went to college together so it was really neat catching up with him for a bit. He was SO proud of her; I could feel it all night. And as I was standing there watching her come down the aisle…I heard Jason lean in to his best man and whisper; “She’s so beautiful”. ♥

It’s not often that I get to see the blushing veils anymore so it’s a treat when I do…there’s something really special about the act of lifting the veil.

As I was watching through my lens, I could sense Jason’s excitement as he patiently waited for the o.k. to kiss his wife…so cute!

Lots of Congratulations to be shared after the ceremony, and then bubbles….lots and lots of bubbles!

When we first arrived at the Waterfall, there was another Wedding party there, so we hung out for a little bit; and then made our way over to a beautiful bridge over a stream…what a pretty location!

Right in the middle of shooting, Jason see’s a bike and suddenly he’s running over there to ride it…LOL…a little wobbly at first..good thing it was down hill!

Lookin’ sharp guys!

And I thought I’d seen everything, but apparently not… these bridesmaids PICKED UP their Bride! Usually the guys pick up the Bride ~ now that’s girl power!

We took a bunch of photos in front of the Waterfall…they were having such a great time!
Girlfriends!

SO cute together. I love how Jason is a guy’s guy…but he has this amazing sweet side and you can feel the strength in his love for Karrie; he truly adores her and I felt really happy to be around them.

Ok, let’s get this party started! Off to the reception at Hickory Ridge Golf & Country Club

What I loved about it here was how comfortable I felt…everyone was relaxed and at ease and just enjoying their time together.

Cute little favors…and lots of chocolate too!

What a sweet cake! And p.s., I love daisies
It’s always neat to see people signing my guest books…I LOVE making them, and think they’re a great keepsake for my couples. You can see their Engagement session photos here
details

Took them out and about on the grounds for a little bit too…wow, what a beautiful location.

Such a sweet first dance…I can’t remember the song now, but I remember Jason singing to her on the dance floor (but don’t tell anybody)

What a beautiful fun and celebratory group of family and friends ~ I had an amazing time, and am so grateful to have been given a glimpse into the life of this couple. Enjoy every moment you two! ♥

Check back in a month or so for the viewing info; enjoy these for now!

OMG…I am SO excited for Bridgette and Chris. I was pregnant when I met with them for their initial meeting, and still pregnant when I photographed their Engagement session back in January. During that shoot, they told me THEY were expecting and would be due in the Fall just before their Wedding in November!!! Wow right?
So, I wanted them to have 2 mini sessions so we could celebrate both occasions before the big day. This is still one of my favorite Engagement pictures ~ so cute!:

Congratulations Bridgette and Chris! I seriously can not wait to meet your Little one on the Big Day! Hang in there and have fun ~ it’s amazing!

Dear future Wedding couples,
Please be as awesome as Bill and Kacey.
Thank you.
“Pink is youthful, fun, and exciting! Hot pink is sensual and passionate without being too aggressive. It is the color of joy and happiness…” which easily set the tone for the incredible celebration of Bill & Kacey’s Wedding day. Just look at that sky for starters….perfectly sunny blue skies with a warm breeze…so happy it was an outside ceremony.

I made my way upstairs and as I entered the brides room, I was immediately greeted by smiling faces and hot pink accessories. We were gonna have FUN today! Kacey’s two little girls were SO cute and they loved being all dressed up and helping out.

Kacey had two veils…this long flowing one for the ceremony, and then a shorter sparklier one for the reception.

Glowing, radiant, beautiful bride

Rose petals!

Kacey was escorted by her two dads…so sweet!

Bill? Cry? never.
(now that’s a reaction to a beautiful bride) (and p.s. I cried during their hand written vows…it was an extremely emotional ceremony filled with lots and lots of love)

There was a reading that I’d never heard before…but it’s so beautiful I will never forget it:

“These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you.
These are the hands that are holding yours on your Wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.
These are the hands that will work along side yours as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes: tears of sorrow and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief wracks your mind.
These are the hands that will hold your children in tender love, soothing them through illness and hurt, supporting and encouraging them along the way, and knowing when it is time to let go.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.”

Their daughters brought out the rings; in personally decorated boxes

There was another reading, and a beautiful song played by the minister on guitar…everything was so special and carefully thought out. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs.!

How beautiful are their daughters…they’re so lucky to have each other.

We took a limo bus over to the Honeoye Falls for lots and lots of group pictures…and more hot pink…everywhere!
The newlyweds!

Champagne toasts

The Bridal Party

Have you ever been to a Wedding reception where the guests were asked to wear a color theme? What a fun-tastic idea!!!

The happy (and adorable) family

How sweet are these two? It was a perfect blend of romance, fun, and festivities!

Gazing up at her new husband

That’s right folks….hot pink socks and hot pink shoes!

Once we got back to the Rabbit Room, I was immediately at ease. I absolutely love it in there…I want to move in. The stone walls, wooden beams, and low lighting make it the perfect little escape.

Wine wedding favors

This was something new for me too! Their monogram on a mirror!!

Yup, you read that correctly….’chicken wings’!

No one knows grazing stations like The Rabbit Room…and even something as simple as chicken wings and macaroni salad are gourmet here…SOOO good. Come for dinner!

There’s nothing cuter than little girls…especially ones wearing hot pink bows and fingernails!

We snuck a few moments outside while everyone was mingling and grazing…I love this triptych

These girls got that party S.T.A.R.T.E.D!! - “A Party in the USA”- Miley Cyrus; was the opener for their reception and it went on all through the night…SO much fun!
“So I put my hands up, they’re playin’ my song, I know I’m gonna be ok…it’s a party in the U.S.A.”

oh, to be a kid again!

Congratulations Kacey & Bill! Thank you for choosing me, believing in me, and for appreciating my vision through your celebration. I Wish you a lifetime filled with happiness…and may you always be tickled pink

(Check back in about a month for instructions how to see the entire Wedding…enjoy these for now!)
