First, a HUGE thank you to my past High School Seniors for choosing me, and then for telling their friends about me too.  It’s easy to walk into a studio for a session; everyone else is doing it … but to choose, and then trust an individual photographer with these heirloom photos is an amazing testimonial and I continue to be grateful.

I was completely taken aback when I first set eyes on Emily ~ stunning!  What a beautiful girl, sparkling eyes, and an incredible laugh; infectious.  I loved that for a few of the shots, we were attempting to go a little more serious and she replied sincerely that she was happy and couldn’t help but smile. ♥

Just before our session, Emily’s dad, brother, and cute as can be dog, Cooper, came over and asked about the possibility of getting a quick family shot.  Of course!  And here is another benefit with choosing an independent photographer.  You couldn’t show up at a studio with your whole family AND your dog hoping for a group shot…it’s just not going to happen.  I was happy to take a series of photos that they can cherish for their lifetime together.  I’m here to help YOU make memories after all…and to be remembered beautifully.  :)

Congratulations on your upcoming Senior year Emily!  You have the whole world in front of you and I wish you happiness and exploration as you head out to find your path.  Have fun kiddo :D !

January was a big month for Wedding meetings and this particular one was definitely one of my favorites.  Bridgette greeted me with such excitement when we met because she chose me after seeing the Wedding images that I captured for a friend of hers a few years ago.   Word of mouth referrals are so helpful and are truly appreciated!  I am so lucky to receive such amazing testimonials from my couples too which I always post to my website.  They really give new couples an idea of how I perform ON the Wedding day revealing my excitement to be there just as much as anyone else.  It is truly a magical experience!

Not only was I excited to meet Bridgette, but I was introduced to her English Bulldog Pudgie too and it was love at first sight.  He was the sweetest, happiest little guy and I couldn’t stop playing with him.  (don’t tell my dog Buddy though ~ he’s always my favorite)  ;)

I am really looking forward to their Big Day in November … and though it seems like a long ways away, we know it will be here in no time.  We decided to split up the Engagement session which was a great idea…half now in the winter, and a few more over the summer to get a different look.  It’s nice to have the extended time to be able to do that. They live in the Corn Hill area, so we took a few in the house with Pudgie first, and then off to the landing which has special meaning to them.

Congratulations Bridgette and Chris ~ you guys are adorable together and I’m honored that you’ve chosen me to photograph your Wedding day; it’s going to be pure bliss.  Enjoy this very special time together!  :)
