So…I remember it being the beginning of August when I started to see Halloween decorations creeping into the stores aisles and shelves thinking, really, already?  Wasn’t it just July 4th?  And NOW, I’m seeing Thanksgiving decorations everywhere…which leads me to why I’m writing this post.  Fall is upon us and though I can’t believe we will be looking at Black Friday before we know it, we will,  and I want to make sure you have enough time to get in some photo sessions with your loved ones  and family ~ in enough time to get some holiday cards made and mailed out.  It’s totally possible. :)

I want to help too because I’m a mom now and I know how crazy this whole life thing is once it’s not just about you anymore.  (And if you’re just you, enjoy it; I loved life when it was just me too!)  :)

I will be including a complimentary set of holiday photo ornaments with every Fall session as long as it’s scheduled and completed by November 20th.  They’re so fun!  I will custom color them with your name, and string them with a matching ribbon so they’re all ready to hang on your tree, and those you send them to.  They’re made of a sturdy cardstock paper…a fun replacement to the traditional cards that could get thrown away.  These will adorn your tree and your loved ones trees for years to come. :)

So, contact me soon so we can schedule our session together ~ let’s get out there and have some fun!

Thank goodness for families that cherish time together for portraits.  What I love most is that I know they’re choosing me not just for the quality and look of their pictures, but for the time spent together too.  Being invited into the lives of my families is an honor, and as a photographer, and a mom myself,  I understand their time together is fleeting.  We go from task to task to task all day…so for these portraits, I want them to have fun together while I’m there capturing it.

They could easily go to a portrait studio, and sit in front of a backdrop; and those are great for what they are.  Personally, if I’m going to go through the trouble of packing up young children into the car, how much more exciting is it to tell them we’re going somewhere outside like to a park, or to the beach?!  :)   They can run free in our enormous variety of nature backdrops here in the surrounding areas of Rochester, NY.  I just LOVE it here – in all seasons.  For this session, we met out at Hamlin Beach State Park.  It was a perfect evening and I was so happy to see them again.

Just six short months ago, Lindsay had her baby girl Lauren; she was just 11 days old when we had our first session, and now her older sweetheart, Olivia has turned 2!  They are so blessed as a family, and it melts my heart to show them how spectacular they are through these beautiful pictures.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again ~ being welcomed back into the lives of my past Brides and Grooms overwhelms me with thankfulness.  Seeing Jeff & Alison immediately brought me back to their very special celebration 3 years ago at the spectacular Belhurst Castle as I reminisced their fairytale gathering, her Mickey Mouse Engagement ring, and their incredible castle cake!

As I am greeted with hugs, I see baby Lily out of the corner of my eye and I can’t wait to see her up close.  What a princess! :)   I’m so glad they made the decision to capture these moments for their family and that I was chosen again to preserve them.

As a parent, the baby stage feels like it’s going to last forever because you’re just exhausted…but before you know it, they’re not a baby anymore, you’re getting more sleep, and you’re trying to remember what they looked like just months ago.

We’re not just taking these pictures for ourselves, we’re taking them for the children.  What a gift I’ve been given to be able to create heirlooms for my families….beautifully.

Without further adieu, welcome to the world Lillian!  May all your sweet dreams come true.  ♥

Enjoy every giggly minute together!

With love and happiness,

:) Sue
