I have been looking forward to this Wedding since this super sweet couple chose me as their photographer last year.  We had an immediate connection and I’m so thankful they recognized our similarities so that I could beautifully capture the romance and divine friendship between them.   I see a lot of love, and every couple has their own way of expressing theirs…and these two have such a simple consideration of each other that makes me want to be a better half to my Husband too.

I absolutely loved our Engagement session together and we were so fortunate to schedule it on the one day that the Ellwanger Gardens were open to the public.  It was a spectacular treat to photograph their love among the fragrant Peonies and blossoming trees.  Just gorgeous.

Another exciting piece to this celebration is that her family founded ‘Lumiere Photo‘ (formerly Light Impressions); where I aspired to work years ago and was so thankful I had that incredible opportunity.   To be chosen by a family with such an influence on our photographic community was an honor I don’t think I’ll ever truly grasp.  Thank you Emily & Ken! :)

If you’ve never been told, or experienced Hurd Orchards yourself, you’re going to hear a lot about it now ~ it is just the most amazing place to surround yourself with and we’re so very lucky that it’s right here in our own back yard.  Just under 1/2 an hour outside of Rochester along Ridge Rd. West…in Holley NY, nestled among an orchard, and fragrant gardens, you’ll find an old rustic barn and a little country shop filled with delectable jams, breads, and goodies made exclusively by hand from their fields.  It is truly a labor of love for the family; most notable are Sue and Amy, a mother/daughter team who are some of the most gracious women I’ve ever met.  You must visit their website to see all the events they put on throughout the year.  Thankfully, you don’t need to be getting married to experience this heavenly place.  So make a plan, invite someone you love, and set the date to enjoy the land and bounty this wonderful family provides.

Emily & Ken, I was overwhelmed with gratitude as I captured the magic of your celebration ~ wishing you a lifetime of happiness, and nothing else, because ‘All you need is Love’.  ♥
Congratulations! :)

At the end of the ceremony, it was asked of the guests to leave a token of themselves behind at the ‘altar’ as a keepsake for their candle jar.  What an incredible assortment; including her fathers BABY shoe!

Croquet anyone?! :D

Time for dinner ~ I couldn’t wait to see the barn!

Just a little side note, all the cups were made out of CORN and were biodegradable!   A few of them even started melting from the afternoon sun!

I was first introduced to Niki & Pete through Rachel of  Events Made Easy and have been blessed ever since.  Being referred by other couples, and Wedding vendors is such a treat and I am always beside myself with thankfulness for their praise.  If it weren’t for her referral, I probably wouldn’t have met them…and that would have been very sad ~ they’re such a super sweet couple! ♥  If you didn’t get to see their Engagement session, you can view it here ~ be prepared to stop and stay a while! :)

Their Big Day was held out in Bloomfield, in the home that Niki grew up in and where her parents still live.  What a beautiful historic home out in the countryside…as soon as you pulled up to it, you were wrapped in a big welcoming hug.  When I saw the reception tent off in the distance, I became so excited for the rest of the days events…I couldn’t wait to get started!

Off to the church ~ time to get Married! :)

Incredible flowers…I’ve never seen anything like them!

It’s time! :)

Congratulations!!! :D

Off to Warner Castle/Sunken Gardens!

Enough of this ~ time to hit the A.C. and get back to the party! :)

YES!  That’s a couch!  So cool!

We got back in time for the Bride and Groom to mingle before introductions and enjoy some cocktails with their guests

Niki’s fabulous mom ~ she’s amazing! :)

I could have used one of those for my water! LOL

Time for introductions ~ one of the couples came riding in on the motorcycle and the rest ran behind them!

First dance ♥

After toasts, they were given these fantastic custom made goggles for snowboarding!

As the night started to settle in, the lights in the tent really lit up!  So much color ~ way to go ‘Events Made Easy!’

Some beautiful romantic pictures before dusk

Let’s get this party started!

I love how the light glowing from inside outlines the bike

Those sunglasses everyone was wearing were their favors ~ great idea!

This is a sample page from the Guest Books I make with our Engagement Session images ~ everyone loves writing messages in them!

Have you ever seen a Wish Lantern release before? It’s the equivalent of a mini hot air balloon, and when released into the night sky, the person/people releasing them will traditionally make a wish for the Bride and Groom ♥

Congratulations Niki & Pete!  Your Wedding was amazing, and I wish you so much love and happiness as you begin your journey as Husband and Wife ~ in Ibiza – wow!! :D

The view as I was leaving … the A.C. was calling me…but the view made me want to stay ~ what an amazing celebration!

With Love and air conditioning,

Sue

I have been following Krystal’s Wedding updates for the past year on Facebook ~ always filled with happiness and excitement!  I count down with my Brides too and sometimes I get all caught up in their excitement that I feel like their big day is my day too! :)

It’s unbelievable to me how long this sweet couple has already been together…High School sweethearts!  They are a perfect match and I’m so lucky to have been a part of their celebrations; through their Engagement session at Maplewood Park and Corbett’s Glen to their Wedding day at Terry Hills Golf Club.

Getting ready!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.! ♥

The event coordinator, Danielle, did an incredible job with the setup, as always!  She is incredibly professional and a breeze to work with.  I can’t thank her enough for being so attentive and genuinely interested in what’s going on throughout a Wedding day.  Thanks Danielle ~ you’re awesome! :)

LOL, Peekaboo! :D

I’m still wondering what went wrong here…but whatever it was, lit up the room with laughter :)

Dancing!

Florida!  You’re a sweetheart! ♥

I loved this couple ~ they were having SO much fun together…and as I took their picture late into the night, the next thing I saw was a pizza buffet!  I looked over at them and yelled, Pizza?!  They were laughing and couldn’t believe it either ~ way to go Terry Hills!

As I took a break from dancing and circled the room, I came across one of the girls beautiful manicures!  How fun!

A few more before the night was through ~ it always goes so fast :(

Congratulations you two!  What a beautiful day for your celebration complete with a perfect sun shiney day, loving family, and amazing friends!

Best wishes on a long life together filled with love, laughter and happiness always! ♥
