I have been looking forward to this Wedding since this super sweet couple chose me as their photographer last year.  We had an immediate connection and I’m so thankful they recognized our similarities so that I could beautifully capture the romance and divine friendship between them.   I see a lot of love, and every couple has their own way of expressing theirs…and these two have such a simple consideration of each other that makes me want to be a better half to my Husband too.

I absolutely loved our Engagement session together and we were so fortunate to schedule it on the one day that the Ellwanger Gardens were open to the public.  It was a spectacular treat to photograph their love among the fragrant Peonies and blossoming trees.  Just gorgeous.

Another exciting piece to this celebration is that her family founded ‘Lumiere Photo‘ (formerly Light Impressions); where I aspired to work years ago and was so thankful I had that incredible opportunity.   To be chosen by a family with such an influence on our photographic community was an honor I don’t think I’ll ever truly grasp.  Thank you Emily & Ken! :)

If you’ve never been told, or experienced Hurd Orchards yourself, you’re going to hear a lot about it now ~ it is just the most amazing place to surround yourself with and we’re so very lucky that it’s right here in our own back yard.  Just under 1/2 an hour outside of Rochester along Ridge Rd. West…in Holley NY, nestled among an orchard, and fragrant gardens, you’ll find an old rustic barn and a little country shop filled with delectable jams, breads, and goodies made exclusively by hand from their fields.  It is truly a labor of love for the family; most notable are Sue and Amy, a mother/daughter team who are some of the most gracious women I’ve ever met.  You must visit their website to see all the events they put on throughout the year.  Thankfully, you don’t need to be getting married to experience this heavenly place.  So make a plan, invite someone you love, and set the date to enjoy the land and bounty this wonderful family provides.

Emily & Ken, I was overwhelmed with gratitude as I captured the magic of your celebration ~ wishing you a lifetime of happiness, and nothing else, because ‘All you need is Love’.  ♥
Congratulations! :)

Springtime doesn’t just bring flowers in bloom…it brings romance in the air!  And boy was the Spring breeze filled with love during this session!  What a treat to spend the afternoon with Katie and Drew.  I was so happy to meet them; finally in person.  It’s SO special and appreciated to be recommended to couples by past couples.  So when it happened again in this case, not only was it through another couple, but an out of state couple.  This meant that I needed to meet with the parents of the couple which was a lot of fun!  I remembered them from the first Wedding and was so excited to be welcomed back into the lives of these amazing families.  Thank You and I can not wait to celebrate Katie and Drew’s big day this Summer ~ see you soon! :)

If you follow me on Facebook, you know that I shared a special opportunity while ‘Cyber Monday’ was happening on the web.  I wouldn’t be able to have a site on Facebook if it weren’t for my awesome fans, so of course I had to give something away as a Thank You!

:)

My lucky winner was a past Bride

and I was excited to re-connect with her and to meet their new baby Landon ~ what a cutie!
One of the many amazing things about my career as a photographer is getting to keep in touch with my couples throughout their lives.   I’m photographing life, love, heirlooms, memories, traditions, celebrations, milestones…I still can’t believe it sometimes.

Congratulations Rachel; your mini book will be shipping shortly!
